Blast furnace production is continuous, and any unplanned shutdown is considered an accident. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the maintenance work of equipment, shorten the downtime as much as possible, and ensure the normal production of blast furnaces.
To prevent gas poisoning and explosion, the following points should be noted:
(1) Before conducting Class I and Class II gas operations, it is necessary to notify the personnel at the gas protection station and require at least 2 people to carry out the operation. Before conducting a type of gas operation, it is necessary to conduct a carbon monoxide content test in the air and wear an oxygen respirator.
(2) When hot work is carried out on gas pipelines, a hot work permit must be obtained first and preventive measures must be taken.
(3) When entering the container for operation, the concentration of carbon monoxide in the air should be checked first. During the operation, in addition to requiring good ventilation, a dedicated person outside the container is also required for supervision.
